We are proud to announce that RCT Stevedoring has joined EUROMETAL, the European federation of steel, tube, and metal distributors. This partnership reflects our ambition to actively contribute to the future of European steel distribution and to further strengthen our network within this strategic industry.

EUROMETAL: A Network with Deep Roots and a Clear Mission

EUROMETAL’s origins date back to 1950, the same year the European Community for Coal and Steel (ECSC) was established. That year also saw the founding of FIANATM (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Négociants en Aciers, Tubes et Métaux), which aimed to unite national associations of steel, tube, and non-ferrous metals merchants from OECD countries.

FIANATM was founded in Basel, Switzerland, under Swiss law, and quickly grew into a prominent umbrella organization. In 1999, it merged with Brussels-based FENA (Fédération Européenne des Négociants d’Aciers), leading to the creation of EUROMETAL as we know it today.

From 2005 onwards, EUROMETAL opened its doors to individual companies. First came service centers, followed by steel stockholders and, later, companies involved in international steel trading. Today, EUROMETAL represents a broad spectrum of players in the European steel, tube, and metal distribution chain.

A Shared Vision for the Future of Steel Distribution
